Foreign Language
Can anyone tell me how hard it is to learn conversational Italian and French? We've got until June 12 to prepare and I want to be able to have a grasp on the basics. I think I will go to the library tomorrow and see if I can check out some tapes. Any advice would be appreciated. Blondie??

Sissy...don't stress...you won't learn a language enough to be conversational. They all speak English, anyway. But, i think there is resentment if you don't try their language. Get a couple of pocket phrase books and learn some basic stuff: please, thank you, where is..., yes, no, etc. We'll have you up to snuff in no time. Or, assign Hollywood one langage and G-man the other--to learn phrases. Almost impossible to be conversational in the amount of time you have.
