Soldier of Christ

Here's a lookback earlier in the year when Hollywood became a Christian soldier through the sacrament of Confirmation. As you can see, I made her butt her way onstage to get right next to the bishop.

Long Weekend in Jax

Hollywood and I went to Jax on Friday for the long 3-day weekend. We had a blast with the GMan. We ate twice at Sweet Tomatoes and got some antiquing in. We also spent a lot of time relaxing and watching movies. I know the images are dark - but that's how we like it! We watched 3 movies on Saturday night as it was getting dark and it was thundering and lightening. I think I just need to learn to use the camera more and practice!

Can't Wait 'til June!!!

June will be a very exciting month for me, Hollywood and G-Man. First and foremost, my #1 daughter Hollywood will be donning a cap and gown and walking across that stage on June 9th. This will be a culmination of many years of hard work - this child has poured her heart into her studies. It is really paying off for her. We just found out that she has been awarded a 4 year Navy ROTC scholarship to the military school she has applied to. I am so proud. She still is waiting to hear from Virginia Tech, Florida State and University of Florida.

As a reward to her for all of her hard work, her Dad and I have decided to send her and G-Man to Europe this summer to experience some of the rest of the world. G-Man will be turning 16 in June and he has worked very hard as well. So, I will be accompanying them and we will be doing the Rick Steve's Family Europe Tour!! I have never been to Europe either.

We're Stressin'

This has been a stressful week because Hollywood has been studying for her mid-term exams. The worst is over but she still has her government exam today. By 10:00 this morning we'll all be breathing a little easier. We're out the door tonight to Jacksonville to visit the G-Man.

Remembering Paige

Our dear friend Paige. She really wanted her hair washed and her nails filed that day. We scrubbed her up good and pretty.

Hanging with Ted

Yesterday Hollywood and I visited w/Ted. Ted was married to Paige, our dear friend who passed away last February. Ted recently moved into a retirement community and we helped him hang some pictures. Much more homey.
